Nadia Askar is the managing editor of both Plumbing & Mechanical and Reeves Journal. Originally hired as associate editor for all four magazines within BNP Media’s Plumbing Group — Plumbing & Mechanical, Supply House Times, PM Engineer, and Reeves Journal — her position morphed more into primarily working on PM while assisting the other three brands as needed. Askar will continue in certain key parts of her role with PM while leading the direction of Reeves Journal’s new RJ 2.0 quarterly print and eBook products, as well as the implementation of its overall digital strategy. Askar joined BNP Media’s Plumbing Group in November 2013.
Veteran industry analyst and writer Morris R. Beschloss is the industrial PVF columnist for BNP Media’s Plumbing Group titles and is the American Supply Association’s industry analyst. Beschloss, whose career in the industrial pipe, valve and fittings sector spans more than five decades, was the recipient of the 2012 ASA Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ed McMenamin is the chief editor of PM Engineer magazine, which serves specifiers and designers of plumbing, piping, hydronic and fire protection products and equipment. He served four years as an associate editor with fellow BNP Media publications Quality magazine and Appliance Design.
Prior to coming to BNP Media, McMenamin worked for 2.5 years at the Pekin Daily Times in central Illinois and spent three years at the Elmhurst Press/Downers Grove Reporter, both part of a chain of community-focused newspapers in the Chicago western suburbs.
Mike Miazga is the Group Editorial Director for BNP Media’s Plumbing Group. He oversee oversees the editorial content and direction of the Plumbing Group’s four brands (Plumbing & Mechanical, PM Engineer, Reeves Journal and Supply House Times) and their associated print and digital products, including the dedicated Radiant & Hydronics and Bath & Kitchen Pro websites, as well as six eNewsletters.
In his ninth year at BNP Media, Miazga originally was hired as senior editor of Plumbing & Mechanical and PM Engineer before taking over chief editor duties at Supply House Times in 2011. In addition to his role as editorial director, Miazga continues as Supply House Times chief editor and the editor of the American Supply Association’s PVF Outlook eNewsletter. Supply House Times is the official publication of ASA.
Miazga started his career in newspapers at the age of 19 and has more than 25 years of newsroom, management, editorial and public/media relations experience, and is a former high-school baseball and golf head varsity coach.
