Kevin
J. Kelly, P.E., is the president of National Fire Protection Engineering, PC,
located in New York. He has taught technical seminars on topics related to fire
protection systems and served on several NFPA technical committees including
NFPA 14, Standard for the Installation of Standpipes and NFPA 24, Standard for
the Installation of Private Fire Service Mains. Kelly also participates in the
International Code Council’s model code development and is the chair of the
Fire Protection Committee for the American Water Works Association. He
graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. degree in Fire Protection
