• Heather Platt, P.E., a senior project manager at Dewberry, has been appointed to the Facility Guideline Institute’s Health Guidelines Revision Committee (HGRC) for the 2019-2020 term. She represents the North Piedmont Chapter of ASHRAE. Platt has been in the mechanical engineering industry for nearly 25 years, and has been an active ASHRAE member for 21 years. She manages healthcare-related projects out of Dewberry’s Raleigh, North Carolina office.

  • Also at Dewberry, Joseph Masiello, P.E., CEM, LEED AP, has joined the firm as an associate vice president in the New York City office. Masiello brings more than 30 years of experience to the firm, and will lead the New York City mechanical, engineering and fire-protection group.

  • Additionally, the firm announced John Bowling, P.E., has been hired as a senior mechanical engineer in the MEP department based in Raleigh. Bowling’s background is primarily in building automation, fire alarm, security, and HVAC systems and service.

  • To support its commitment to deliver superior technical support, Caleffi North America announced the hiring of Dan Firkus to the position of application engineer. Firkus is responsible for supporting and answering technical calls, e-mails and social media inquiries.

  • Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS), a business management software provider, announced Cary Anderson has been promoted to vice president and general manager for KCS in North America. Prior to his promotion within KCS, Anderson held the position of vice president R&D (North America).

  • Duravit USA announced the addition of Dean Camastro to its team as northeast regional sales manager. Camastro will oversee sales efforts throughout the northeast, including New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and work hand-in-hand with the company’s regional partners to expand brand awareness.

  • The Propane Education & Research Council announced Bryan Cordill is its new director of residential and commercial business development. Cordill will lead efforts to support and grow propane demand in the residential and commercial construction markets.

  • Armstrong Fluid Technology announced it has signed the Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment, launched by the World Green Building Council. The commitment is unique in positioning energy efficiency as a central component to achieving decarbonization across global portfolios. All signatories pledge to reach net-zero carbon operating emissions within their portfolios by 2030.

  • Eagan, Minnesota-based manufacturers representative firm Mulcahy has been named one of the top 150 workplaces in Minnesota by the Star-Tribune. It’s Mulcahy’s second year in a row winning the honor. Mulcahy is celebrating its 90th year in business, and has 60 employees. The firm noted it is one of 70 small busiensses in the state that made the top workplaces list.

  • Huntington Beach, California-based California Faucets has again been recognized for its signature Pixar-inspired videos. “Bath Time,” the company’s latest entertaining and whimsical promotional video, received a coveted 2019 Telly Award in the category of Promotional Video: Use of 3D Animation. California Faucets explains, “While the supposed star of the video is a woman enjoying some ‘me’ time singing in the bath, it’s a suite of brass-finished faucets that steals the show.”

  • LUXE Linear Drains debuted a newly redesigned website to better meet the needs of design and building professionals interested “in creating more functional and beautiful bathroom, kitchen and outdoor living spaces,” the company explains. The website is located at www.lineardrains.com.

  • Duravit USA enaged New Jersey-based agency Altherm to represent its salesforce in the northeast. Altherm has been a plumbing and heating manufacturers representative since 1947.
