IAPMO, ASPE and the Water Quality Research Foundation will collaborate and fund a water usage research project. The groups will use data provided by Aquacraft to update Hunter’s Curve for estimating water supply application using water-efficient fixtures.
The project aims to provide statistical analysis of fixture use behavior in single-family and multifamily dwellings using the latest data sets for 2010-11 provided by Aquacraft, a water management, research and use analysis firm.
The data set represents a sampling of 1,300 homes and will allow the mining of thousands of individual fixture samples. This will determine the probability of the fixtures’ end usage.
