Here are the people on the move around the industry for December.


Marvin D. Siplejoins Noveon as a FlowGuard Gold® CPVC Pipe & Fittings field sales consultant. He is responsible for creating awareness and developing primary demand for FlowGuard Gold CPVC water distribution systems for residential and commercial applications in western Florida. Siple comes to FlowGuard with more than 15 years of sales experience, his last 10 spent as a manufacturers’ representative serving the plumbing and mechanical industries. He is active in the local ASPE and PHCC chapters and has extensive experience designing and providing product application and installation training programs for builders, plumbers and distributors. He holds an associate’s degree from St. Petersburg College.

Dominic Sims, C.B.O., has been named Chief Operating Officer of the International Code Council. As COO, Sims will be responsible for the organization''s day-to-day operating activities, financial performance, short- and long-term planning and strategic business activities. Sims, who previously served as Deputy COO, was promoted by newly-named CEO Rick Weiland. As CEO of the Southern Building Code Congress International (SBCCI), an International Code Council legacy organization, Sims helped lead the consolidation of the three model code organizations. He holds several professional certifications with the Code Council and the states of Florida and Ohio. Prior to joining the International Code Council and SBCCI, Sims was Executive Director of the Palm Beach County (Fla.) Planning, Zoning and Building Department.

Having led Julien’s Home Refinements® division to success in a mere three years,Lloyd LeBlanchas recently been promoted to vice president, overseeing all communications, marketing and branding for Julien’s residential and commercial divisions. As Julien’s former Director of Residential Development, LeBlanc has spent the last few years focusing on branding the company’s residential division. After successfully launching Julien’s kitchen line, LeBlanc contracted with Troy Adams, an acclaimed Los Angeles designer, and launched Julien’s first bathroom suite. Preceding his current six years with Julien, LeBlanc spent 10 years as a business developer for the sporting goods industry.

Alsons Corp., a supplier of distinctively styled shower and hand shower products, recently announced thatJohn Davieshas been named Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Davies joined Alsons in 1996 as vice president of sales, having been with sister Masco division, Delta Faucet Co. since 1985. In his new role, Davies continues to lead the sales organization. Additionally, Davies is directing the marketing and new product development team. Davies managed this area of the business on an interim basis over the past seven months.
