Here are the people on the move around the industry for November.

  • With the acquisition of PACO Pumps earlier this year, Grundfos Pumps Corp. has organized management of the two companies' products to better support the Commercial Building Services (CBS) market in North America. Overall management of the products for the CBS market will be the responsibility of Greg Towsley, regional segment manager, who will operate out of North American headquarters in Olathe, KS. Chris Zelenka, marketing manager, will work from Grundfos CBS Inc. in Brookshire, TX. Product Manager Reece Robinson will remain in Olathe, and Product Manager Zeki Oral will continue to manage the Grundfos commercial circulation pumps (TP, UPS, LM, LP), integrated variable speed circulation pumps (TPE) and end suction pumps (SR/SF).

  • Cash Acme has named Les Engelmann national backflow director, luring the long-time expert out of retirement and back into a leading industry role. Engelmann is formerly an executive with Ames and Watts, will serve as Cash Acme's National Backflow Director, leading the company's efforts with an expanded backflow preventer line. After the purchase of Ames Co. by Watts Industries, Engelmann became vice president and general manager of West Coast and Chinese Operations for Watts. There, Engelmann continued development of meter and valve testing processes until retirement April 2003. Engelmann has served as a member of AWWA, ASSE and IAPMO Backflow, Meter and Gate Valve Standards Committees, and provided input to UL, FM and LADWP Valve Standards.

  • BrassCraft has announced that Beth Vessels has joined BrassCraft as retail channel manager and Larry Griffin has been appointed channel manager for wholesale sales.

    Vessels will work in partnership with the sales managers and independent sales representatives to maximize top line sales of the company's retail products to home centers, hardware stores and mass merchants. Most recently employed at Tapco International, Vessels brings nine years of retail marketing and sales experience to her new position.

    Griffin will function as liaison between the BrassCraft sales and marketing organizations. He will be responsible for maximizing top-line sales by effectively launching new products and programs, and by creating and implementing promotional strategies. Griffin's most recent assignment was as BrassCraft channel manager for retail sales.

  • Briggs Industries, Inc., has announced the appointment of Kevin Mayer as regional manager-wholesale for the Central Region, according to Bob Robison, VP sales-wholesale for the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. Mayer will be responsible for further developing Briggs growing presence in the wholesale business within his region. Mayer has held sales and managerial positions with Kohler and Rothenberger.
