The Terracon Foundation announced it has awarded $97,712 in grants and scholarships to eight universities and 17 nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. Established as the community investment arm of Terracon, the Foundation has granted nearly $4 million to community organizations, universities, scholarships for dependents of employees, and disaster relief efforts.

“The Terracon Foundation is pleased to continue its commitment to caring for the communities where our employee-owners live and work,” said Derek Koller, CIH, CHMM, chair of the Terracon Foundation and office manager based in the Tuscon office. “We are honored to support engineering schools, youth STEM education, and more.”

The Terracon Foundation presented a total of $42,500 to 8 universities:

  • Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas;
  • Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville, Tennessee: 
  • University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas;
  • University of Washington, Seattle, Washington;
  • Virginia Tech Foundation, Blacksburg, Virginia; and
  • Wake Technical Community College, Raleigh, North Carolina. 

The Terracon Foundation awarded more than $55,000 in community grants to 17 nonprofit organizations:
