The Greater Toronto HomeBuilders' Association (GTHBA) will sponsor HomeBuilder & Renovator Expo 2003, taking place Dec. 3-5 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building (www.homebuilderexpo.com). This is the first time since the inception of HomeBuilder & Renovator Expo in 1995 that GTHBA has sponsored the event. Held in conjunction with Construct Canada, PM Expo and Design Trends, the combined event is ranked Canada's largest annual building and construction show focusing on major technologies, trends and issues within the realm of building design, construction, retrofit and renovation for residential and commercial buildings.

The 2003 Expo is designed specifically to inform architects, builders, renovators, designers and decorators, contractors and engineers about leading and emerging trends in homebuilding and renovations for single family residents in community developments.

The show's 950 exhibits represent 46 categories of products, technologies, building systems and services, and feature more than 250 new and Green products. Exhibits focus on building envelope solutions, roofing, flooring, tile and other materials. A "house-under-construction" exhibit will feature demonstrations on homebuilding technologies and product applications, including siding, windows & doors, roofing, flooring and cabling, and building envelope solutions.

The second annual Green Building conference, sponsored by the Canada Green Building Council, will explore processes, technologies, economics, tools and certification that support sustainable building and environmentally high performance buildings.

In over 200 seminars, leading industry experts will address new trends and issues for residential design and building. The program will include a range of "skill building" seminars and sessions on technical updates, new product development, project management, building reforms/regulatory processes, building envelope solutions and construction law.
