Online News--Rheem Manufacturing Joins Nationwide Tour As Title Sponsor
February 18, 2003
The Nationwide Tour in Fort Smith, AR, will be known in 2003 as the Rheem Classic, resulting from a new title sponsorship agreement reached with Rheem Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial heating, air conditioning, and water heating products.
The inaugural Rheem Classic is scheduled for the week of April 21-27, 2003, a change from the tour's usual date in August.
The Rheem Classic is a $475,000 event, with a winner's share of $85,500. Current PGA Tour rookie Todd Fischer won the 2002 event by one stroke over Gavin Coles, Doug Barron and Andy Sanders.
