BlazeMaster Fire Sprinkler Systems has released several new resources for installing and specifying its chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) fire sprinkler systems. The latest release of the BlazeMaster Fire Sprinkler Systems Design and Specification Resource Library CD-ROM has been expanded, offering system designers the tools they need to specify the company's fire sprinkler systems, including system features and benefits, a complete design and specification manual, listings and approvals, design data, technical reports, tips for design and installation, and a directory of compatible products. The company has also released an educational video that provides a general overview of a CPVC sprinkler system installation. The video offers basic tips for storage and handling of the pipe and fittings to ensure they remain clean and undamaged prior to installation. It also provides direction for pipe inspection, cutting, deburring and beveling, as well as system hanger selection, proper hanger spacing and installation of sprinkler heads and adapters. Another educational video is offered that discusses the high temperature performance of the company's CPVC fire sprinkler system, demonstrating some of the tests the system was subjected to in order to obtain a UL listing. A technical video is also available that demonstrates the testing procedures the system must undergo to be listed for light hazard and residential applications in accordance with NFPA 13, 13R and 13D. Highlighted are the physical and mechanical properties, and the pressure and fire exposure performance of the system. BlazeMaster Fire Sprinkler Systems.
