Here is a selection of new products released by well-known companies in the industry.
A.O. Smith Pump and Expansion Tanks
A.O. Smith has introduced an all-new line of ProMax® pump and expansion tanks to complement its extensive ProMax product line. The pump tanks feature a metal air valve, multiple-head construction for added structural strength and a positive lock-retention system that ensures quality-controlled compression in the diaphragm and eliminates loss of air or water leaks in the tank. The powder-coated tank exterior is electrostatically applied to provide maximum resistance to UV sunlight and is undercoated with zinc phosphate for corrosion resistance. The ProMax expansion tank is available for both hydronic and potable water and features drawn-steel construction and a heavy-duty butyl diaphragm. This tank is IAPMO approved and has a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. www.aosnewproducts.com
AERCO High-Efficiency Light Commercial Boilers
AERCO introduces the Modulex line of condensing boilers, featuring excellent turndown to maximize seasonal efficiency and provide operating reliability for installations that require from 300,000 to 1 million BTUs/hr. capacity. Available in six different sizes , the light commercial boilers have modulating capabilities from 6:1 to 23:1 (depending on the unit). Other performance advantages of the boilers include whisper-quiet operation of <50 dBa, as well as low NOx emission of <30 ppm to satisfy environmental requirements. The breakthrough design of the Modulex line is that each boiler combines between two and seven independent, 151,500 BTU/hr., pre-assembled thermal modules housed in a common enclosure. www.aerco.com

In addition, the pipe can be reshaped instantly. The unique new bracket design of the system is extremely light-weight and requires no tools for installation. It allows the sprinkler position to be adjusted in seconds without removal from the bracket, which has center and symmetrical reference points for quick positioning. www.victaulic.com
Silent Knight Software For Creates Custom Fire Alarm Specifications
Silent Knight introduces its upgraded KnightSpec specification writing tool (version 1.01), a software package that allows system engineers and specifiers to create custom fire alarm specifications for Silent Knight IFP-50, IFP-100 and IFP-1000 control panels, as well as the integrated voice evacuation versions of the IFP-100 and IFP-1000. The new version allows selection of System Sensor's IDP Series addressable devices and, includes updated System Sensor A/V data sheets and IDP series data sheets. Compiled specifications are saved as .doc files, which allow editing in Microsoft® Office® applications or insertion into larger specifications. Once a specification is complete, the user can print applicable data sheets to accompany the specification for submission. www.silentknight.com
