The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME International) has launched the ASME Nanotechnology Institute, dedicated to furthering the art, science and practice of nanotechnology. Charles W. Beardsley has been named director of ASME's Advanced Technology Programs and will oversee the Institute.
