Online News--Diesel-Driven Fire Pump Rooms Now Required to be Sprinklered in NFPA 20

Amongst the myriad of changes to NFPA 20 in 2003, pump rooms with a diesel-driven fire pump are now required to be sprinklered in accordance with NFPA 13 (2002). The text in section 5.12 (section 2-7 of NFPA 20 1999) has also been improved to further clarify fire resistance and sprinkler requirements for pump rooms.
