PM Engineeris now accepting nominations for its Engineering Firm of the Year award. The award will identify and honor an outstanding plumbing or mechanical engineering company. Six criteria will be used to select what best exemplifies an engineering firm committed to being the best at what it does in the field of plumbing, piping, hydronics or sprinklers:

  • Innovation in design

  • Customer Satisfaction

  • Ability to meet schedules

  • Industry involvement

  • Completeness and thoroughness

  • Community involvement

PME's Engineering Firm of the Year will receive permanent recognition and be honored in a feature article in the November 2000 issue. Nominated companies can be consulting, architectural, design or similar types of engineering firms. A firm's size in dollar volume of work or number of employees is not a consideration. Rather, the award seeks to identify companies who strive to be the best at what they do-regardless of size-and who constantly seek to improve and enhance all aspects of their organization.

To nominate your company or another company, submit three copies of a detailed statement about why you feel the firm is deserving of this honor by September 1, 2000. Include the name, phone number and e-mail address of a contact person at the company. Send your nomination in triplicate to :
