PM Engineer did a quick spot check with a few valve manufacturers to get their take on the commercial/industrial landscape heading into the new year and beyond.

The Valve Manufacturers International (VMA) membership elected the 2021-2022 Board of Directors, following the announcement of the slate of candidates at its Annual Meeting, which took place in October. VMA’s Chairman of the Board for the 2021-2022 year is Ron Warren, president/COO of Bray International, based out of Houston.

Midland Industries announced the acquisition of Century Brass Products, a distributor of primarily machined brass fittings and valves to the plumbing industry across the US. 

Milwaukee Valve Co. National Sales Manager Commercial and Industrial Products Ryan Ohm recently died, the New Berlin, Wisconsin-based manufacturer announced. 

Milwaukee Valve will be providing bronze gate valves, globe valves, check valves and scupper valves, double offset and triple offset butterfly valves and a variety of ball valves to the construction of the Doris Miller.

Newmans Valve appointed Sara Alford to the position of president following her leadership and contributions as General Manager of the company since 2016.

Asahi/America, a manufacturer of thermoplastic fluid flow solutions, announced the NSF 61 certification of its CPVC Type-21 ball valves and CPVC ball check valves in sizes 1/2" through 4”.
