ICC-ES PMG, the product certification program for plumbing, mechanical and fuel gas (PMG) products, is now accredited by the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) to certify plumbing and drainage products in accordance with the WaterMark scheme, for use under the Plumbing Code of Australia.

The WaterMark Certification Scheme, managed and administered by the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB), is mandatory for plumbing and drainage products to ensure they are fit for purpose and appropriately authorized for use in plumbing and drainage installations.

ICC-ES report holders benefit from bundling certifications for multiple geographies while maintaining the same quality service provider.

"ICC-ES PMG is truly a global product certification program,” said Dawn La Fleur-Qualley, vice president of ICC-ES PMG. “We are excited to offer this additional value-added service in support of our clients seeking expansion into the Australian and New Zealand markets.”

“Having another reputable WaterMark Conformity Assessment Body in the form of ICC-ES PMG operating in Australia has the potential to increase capacity and capability, offering its international clients a pathway into the Australian market as well as new export market opportunities for Australian manufacturers,” remarked Neil Savery, former CEO of the ABCB.

ICC-ES PMG is the premier product certification program, certifying plumbing, mechanical and fuel gas products to the requirements of International, Uniform and Canadian Codes and Standards. In addition to JAS-ANZ, ICC-ES PMG is accredited by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and can offer listings to meet all manufacturer certification needs in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand.
