Ashland Pump’s new AGP-HC200 grinder pump features a proven radial portion that grinds waste into fine slurry, and the cutting-edge axial portion cuts and chops stringy solids and other forms of non-human waste into pieces small enough to pass through the small diameter discharge pipe, Ashland Pump states. The fibrous materials get chopped/cut, while the soft solids become slurry, minimizing downstream solids and prevents clogging, the company says. The engineered design prevents “wrapping” at the inlet, which clogs grinders. The patent-pending cutters are easy to sharpen and adjust clearances, and are made of case-hardened 440 stainless steel.
