Kohler has created a program with Underwriters Laboratories to achieve third-party-certified Environmental Product Declarations for more than 1,000 of its primary kitchen-and-bath fixtures — or more than 10,000 total product SKUs when accounting for color and finishes. The EPDs provide data-supported insights that give the company’s product- and process-development teams an edge in designing the next generation of environmentally-favorable products, the company explains. Kohler had added Declare labels to its Villager bathtub and the Brockway sink, allowing for engineers and architects to have easy access for information about how the products were made and their impact on the environment.
