New ASPE President Carol Johnson, CPD, appointed Christoph Lohr, P.E., CPD, as the new Liaison to the Board of Directors for the ASPE Young Professional group. Lohr takes over for Blair Minyard, P.E., who was elected as ASPE’s vice president of education during October’s ASPE Conference and Expo in Atlanta.

Lohr ― currently a plumbing technical leader/lead engineer with Henderson Engineers in Phoenix, Arizona ― will be the direct line of communication between AYP and the Board of Directors to make sure the professional needs of the young plumbing designers are incorporated in the group’s initiatives.

Lohr joined ASPE in 2011 and has served as the Phoenix Chapter's vice president, legislative and vice president technical and as ASPE's Region 4 AYP Liaison. In addition to his roles within ASPE, Lohr is co-chair of the Piping Industry Progress and Education (PIPE) Medical Gas Committee, helping to facilitate improvements to the installation of medical gas systems. He also was recently awarded the Kenneth G. Wentink Award of Excellence for his commitment, dedication, and inspired service toward the advancement of the ideals and goals of ASPE.
