Uponor’s ProPex engineered polymer fittings, lead-free fittings and threaded adapter, and larger-diameter Uponor AquaPex tubing (all up to 2”) are now listed to UL 1821 and ULC/ORD-C199P for use in AquaSAFE multipurpose fire-sprinkler systems. This allows designers to use 3/4” tubing and fittings for a majority of their systems now that they can upsize the supply pipes. The 3/4” systems will be easier to install compared to 1” systems.
