The IPGSM-COM is a UL-listed primary fire alarm communicator, which provides full Contact ID data reporting for virtually any fire alarm control panel. Utilizing the Honeywell AlarmNet network, a unique triple-path redundancy provides superior connectivity for life-safety systems. An IP path is used for primary communications and general packet radio service GSM cellular for backup. Should GPRS be unavailable, the unit switches over to SMS (text message) communications.
A 256-bit advanced encryption standard is used to secure data traveling through each pathway. While simple to install and operate, the IPGSM-COM offers a more reliable, cost-effective monitoring alternative to legacy circuit-switched phone lines and their associated communication difficulties and high monthly charges.
