REHAU Skill Builders Training Classes Run Through 2009
REHAU has announced several revisions and additions to the 2009 schedule of Skill Builders training classes offered throughout the U.S. and Canada by REHAU Academy. The schedule includes traditional three-day comprehensive Skill Builders Complete training courses, as well as three types of Skill Builders Focus Sessions tailored to the specific needs of experienced radiant contractors and heating professionals.
The latter comprises a half-day Radiant Installers Focus Session, a Hydronic Designers Focus Session and a Geothermal Systems Focus Session. Specific dates and locations for Focus Sessions can be found on the REHAU Academy web site [www.na.rehau.com/academy].
“Recognizing the rising demand for expertise in PEX-based system installations, we have enhanced and expanded our Skill Builders training classes this year, offering a more hands-on experience with our heating and geothermal systems,” said Lance MacNevin, unit manager of REHAU Academy.
Facilitated by experienced REHAU professionals, Skill Builders Complete seminars for the rest of 2009 will be held on the following dates and locations (asterisks indicate trainings held at REHAU locations):
Oct. 7-9 – Chicago, IL*
Oct. 21-23 – Niagara Falls, Ontario
Oct. 28-30 – Saskatoon, SK
Nov. 18-20 – Leesburg, VA*
Dec. 9-11– Minneapolis, MN
In addition, REHAU is offering a new Hydronic Designers Seminar on Sept. 16-17 at the company’s North American headquarters in Leesburg, VA. This advanced-level training, developed for those who have already attended a Skill Builders Complete seminar, covers design techniques for low-temperature hydronic systems. It includes techniques for calculating heat loss, sizing pipes, the heat source, manifolds and circulator pumps. The seminar also provides training on the use of RayClima snow and ice melt (SIM) software.
