ABET Inc. installed its new officers Nov. 1 at the biannual meeting of its Board of Directors in Minneapolis, MN.
ABET Inc., the recognized accrediting body for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology, installed its new officers Nov. 1 at the biannual meeting of its Board of Directors in Minneapolis, MN. The following individuals will serve on the ABET Board of Directors for the 2003-2004 term:
John D. Lorenz, Ph.D., is the 2003-2004 ABET president. Lorenz, who has completed two terms as ABET secretary, as well as a term as ABET president-elect, has been active in ABET activities for nearly 15 years. He has represented the Society for Manufacturing Engineers (SME) as visit team chair for the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC), Representative Director on the ABET Board, and Board Liaison Representative to the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC). Lorenz also served as a member of the ABET/NSF Technological Education Initiative (TEI) Project Team.
