The Cathedral Hill Hotel, located in San Francisco, has successfully completed renovation of its hotel lobby and office building plumbing fixtures, which included retrofitting the Sloan Royal Flushometers that had been installed since the hotel first opened in 1960.

Robert Hornick, building engineer for the Cathedral Hill Hotel, chose to retrofit the original Flushometer valves that are installed in each of the 400 guestrooms and public restrooms in the 900,000 square-foot hotel with Sloan's battery-operated Optima Plus models.

"The Royals in the hotel have been up and running for the past 40 years. We might change a handle now and then, but that's about it. How could I justify not installing Sloan when we updated plumbing fixtures?" explained Hornick.

Sloan Optima Plus Flushometers are the sensor-operated, touchless model of the Royal and are ADA compliant. Optima Plus Flushometers include a low-battery light, long-lasting batteries, self-diagnostic circuitry, modulated infrared signal, and one-trade installation.
