Web Exclusive-Honeywell Thermostatic Mixing Valves
July 1, 2005
Honeywell has announced the AMX Series Mixing Valves, which enable contractors to dramatically reduce installation time on water heater applications and save significantly on labor and parts. Honeywell mixing valves are designed to prevent scalding by mixing hot with cold water to achieve just the right temperature, providing added safety to homeowners. Mixing valves also allow the water heater temperature to be set higher to prevent bacteria growth, while safely mixing the water down to a temperature that is safe for the home's occupants. The AMX Series Mixing Valves also include a unique recirculation port that allows hot water from the tank to continuously circulate through the house. Recirculation of hot water saves water by eliminating the cooled portion of the hot water line. Several other components are required to make the recirculation system work, but a convenient port designed for these systems is included in every AMX valve.Honeywell.
