Danfoss-Flomatic has introduced a four-color condensed catalog featuring its unleaded backflow preventers. This literature highlights Flomatic's new unleaded material called Enviro-Check, which is a material patented by The Federal Metal Company. These new units are designed to protect drinking water from cross-connections and are constructed to comply with the laws of the federal and state laws in California. The I-836 material has a maximum 0.05% lead content, which is -99.3% less lead than the standard 7% bronze. The I-836 material has tensile strength of 30,000 psi and yield strength of 17,000 psi.
