Subcommittee E06.81 on Building Economics is planning a special workshop meeting during the ASTM International October Committee Week meetings to discuss revisions to ASTM E 1557, Classification for Building Elements and Related Sitework-UNIFORMAT II. The exact date, time and location of the E 1557 workshop will be announced prior to Committee Week. All parties interested in proposing revisions to E 1557 are invited to attend the workshop, during which task group members will consider all changes and plan the implementation of those deemed valuable.
Proposals for changes to Classification E 1557 should be submitted to Anthony Huxley, task group chair, by Sept. 17. "These proposals will need to be specific and detailed, showing the precise changes proposed, and should include a statement of their beneficial impact on the overall standards,"
