The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute
(AHRI) today moved to a new headquarters to accommodate the increased size of
its staff resulting from a merger earlier this year.
When the Air-Conditioning
and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) and Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association
(GAMA) merged Jan. 1 to become AHRI, the combined staff of the two
organizations resulted in the need to relocate to larger office space.
The new address for AHRI's new headquarters is: 2111 Wilson Blvd., Suite 500, Arlington, VA
22201-3001. Staff telephone numbers, email addresses
(firstinitiallastname@ahrinet.org) and Web site address (www.ahrinet.org) will
remain the same.
The new
office is located in a building adjacent to the former GAMA headquarters and
just 1.5 miles from the former ARI headquarters in Arlington. The new office is
conveniently located across the street from the Courthouse Metro Station.
The space is
large enough to accommodate not only AHRI's staff of more than
60 employees, but also the seven-member staff of North American
Technician Excellence. In its new space, AHRI and its architect, Washington
DC-based FORM Architecture + Design, made every effort to build a "green"
workspace. Materials, products and equipment were selected based on their
efficiency, improvement to indoor air quality, low toxicity and recycled
content.
The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and
Refrigeration Institute represents manufacturers of air conditioning, heating
and commercial refrigeration equipment. AHRI develops standards for and
certifies the performance of many of these products. AHRI's more than 350
member companies account for more than 90% of the residential and commercial
air conditioning, space heating, water heating and commercial refrigeration
equipment manufactured and sold in North America.
