Viking Corp. has added a Residential Horizontal Sidewall Sprinkler to its product line to address changes in UL 1626, Standard for Residential Sprinkler for Fire Protection Service. With a 4.3 K-factor and adjustment up to 5/8" when installed in a recessed escutcheon, this sprinkler (VK448) is UL listed for residential occupancies below smooth, flat, horizontal ceilings. It is approved for 155 degrees F and 175 degrees F temperatures, and is available in a variety of decorative finishes. Depending on water supplies, it can be installed at 4" to 6" or 6" to 12" down from the ceiling.Viking Corp.
