SmartSensor Technologies announced the availability of the FloodStopper System, a patented, high-tech water leak detection system that provides protection against flooding by automatically shutting off the water supply instantly upon detection of a leak. The FloodStopper System consists of electronic sensors, a user-friendly control panel, and a Honeywell shut-off valve. The sensors are placed on the floor at points where leaks may occur. They may either be hard-wired, or in areas where access is difficult, wirelessly connected to the system's control panel. When a sensor detects moisture from a water leak, it signals the control panel to instruct the system's Honeywell valve to instantly shut off the water supply.
