PM Engineer editor Jim Olsztynski was named for the second year in a row winner of the Construction Writers Association's T. Randolph Russell Award as editor & publisher of the best construction industry newsletter.
The winning publication, PHC Profit Report, is a paid-subscription newsletter aimed at plumbing-heating-cooling contractors. Olsztynski created it in 1993 as a spinoff from Plumbing & Mechanical magazine, where he served as editor at the time. The publication features money-making business tips in a breezy, condensed format.
Olsztynski also won the T. Randolph Russell award in 1994. Additionally, in 1996 PHC Profit Report was named one of three APEX Grand Award winners in competition against more than 800 newsletters from various industries. It also received an APEX runner-up Award of Excellence in 1997.
