Autodesk, a design software and digital content company, announced an upgrade to Design Web Format (DWF), its industry-standard format for sharing design, engineering and mapping information. In this latest revision, DWF adds support for sharing 3D models to the 2D and object information it already carries. The free, downloadable viewer software, Autodesk® DWF™ Viewer 5, is available in conjunction with the upcoming release of Autodesk's mechanical design application Inventor 9 at www.autodesk.com.
