The Easy-2™ toilet seat by Bemis® Manufacturing Co. features a patented "slow-close" hinge design that makes gently and quietly closing the seat as easy as tapping the ring or cover forward. The seat's hinges utilize dampeners inside to promote the toilet seat's slow descent. Easy-2 also features a patented "lift-off" hinge design, which simplifies toilet and toilet seat cleaning duties. Users twist the hinges to unlock the seat, then lift the seat off to reveal hidden areas on the seat and toilet bowl that would otherwise continue to collect germs.
