McDonnell & Miller has introduced an addition to its popular GuardDog® family of residential low water cut-offs. The new Universal Wire Harness is designed for use with the M&M RB-24 low water cut-off for 24-volt residential hot water boiler applications. The new field-assembled harness allows the installing contractor to plug directly into the OEM's wiring harness without cutting wires. This dramatically shortens installation time and significantly reduces the chance for errors. Two models are offered to accommodate different types of boilers. The UWH-RB-24-A is designed for most atmospheric boilers with 6-pin aquastats or a vent damper manufactured by Effikal, Fields, Johnson Controls or Honeywell, while the UWH-RB-24-S is designed for sealed combustion boilers that use integrated burner controls from United Technologies or electronic aquastats from Honeywell. The M&M Series UWH-RB-24 wire harness kits can be applied to 80% of the 24-volt residential hot water boilers installed annually in the U.S.McDonnell & Miller.
