Ansul, Inc. is sponsoring a $2,000 scholarship in conjunction with the Mine Safety & Health Administration National Mine Rescue, First-Aid, Bench and Preshift Contest.

Ansul, Inc., a business unit of Tyco Fire & Safety, is sponsoring a $2,000 scholarship in conjunction with the Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) National Mine Rescue, First-Aid, Bench and Preshift Contest. Each scholarship recipient must be a company employee or a child of a company employee. The mining company selecting the recipient may also establish qualifying parameters. Students accepting the scholarship must continue to meet academic requirements during their college years. As of this year, 30 students have attended college with the assistance of the Ansul National Mine Rescue Scholarship. The contest is designed to focus attention on efforts to improve safety and rescue programs. It is held every other year at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition in Louisville, KY.
