The American Society for Testing and Materials has released its revised Interactive Standards Development Forums.

The American Society for Testing and Materials has released an improved version of its Interactive Standards Development Forums. The forums system is an Internet-based standards development tool, available to ASTM members around the world, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Using the Forums 2.0 system, members involved in ASTM standards development activities can view and comment on new standard drafts and revisions to existing standards online. This makes international participation in ASTM activities easier and reduces the time it takes to draft a standard by providing between-meeting access to documents in progress.

Currently, 100 forums are in use by ASTM committees, subcommittees and task groups for constructing new documents, editing drafts, revising standards and comparing data. Dozens more have been posted, utilized and deleted after serving their designated purposes.
