Earth Tech was selected by Yorkshire Water to support its five-year-long wastewater program.

Earth Tech, a business unit of Tyco Engineered Products & Services, and global provider of consulting, engineering and construction services, was selected by Yorkshire Water to support its five-year-long wastewater program. Work on the program will begin in April 2005.

ETM4, a joint venture between Earth Tech and Morrison Construction Ltd., will manage a series of regional programs valued at USD $180 million designed to alleviate sewer flooding and overflows. It will also bring wastewater treatment plants in the West Yorkshire Operational area into compliance with increasing national regulatory treatment standards. This operations area serves about one-quarter of Yorkshire Water's 1.7 million residential and 140,000 commercial customers.

Yorkshire Water will identify projects or groups of projects for the program and assign target budgets for each. ETM4 will manage about 20 program contractors, using performance enhancement techniques to ensure the tasks are completed on budget and on time. ETM4 will receive a share of the cost savings in return.
