Online News-NFPA Research Foundation Announces Fire Suppression & Detection Symposium
NFPA's Research Foundation will hold its ninth annual Fire Suppression & Detection Research Application Symposium on Jan. 26-28.
The Fire Protection Research Foundation of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) will hold its ninth annual Fire Suppression & Detection Research Application Symposium on Jan. 26-28, 2005, at the Holiday Inn Select Orlando Airport. Titled "Responding to New Century Challenges," the symposium is geared to fire protection engineers, fire safety managers, code enforcers and others from the fire safety industry and is co-sponsored by the Society of Fire Protection Engineers.
Keynote speaker for the event will be April Berkol, director of environmental health, fire and life safety for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. Her remarks will focus on challenges for fire protection systems in the global lodging industry.
