Buzzsaw.com (www.buzzsaw.com), a B2B marketplace for the building design and construction industry, has signed an agreement to acquire PageMasters, Inc., a provider of leading software for engineering, printing, scanning, document processing and document managment for the reprography, architecture, engineering and construction industries. The integration of PageMasters technology will allow Buzzsaw.com customers to access, view, and manage construction drawings and specifications online and send ordrs to local reprographic printing centers directly from the site.
In a related item, Buzzsaw.com has completed its second round of financing totaling $75 million in additional venture funding. Since launching its site on Nov. 1, 1999, Buzzsaw.com has added an average of 300 building and design projects per week to its workspace, and currently boasts a total of 5,500 active projects.
