The In-Sink-Erator Robert M. Cox and Lawrence B. Dore Awards for Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) Auxiliaries were presented at the recent ISH-NA International Trade Fair in Las Vegas. Cox Awards were presented in "Image" and "Recruitment" categories, and PHCC Auxiliaries from Metro Washington, DC; Delaware; and Pinellas Park, FL, were recognized for their efforts. In addition, Lynn Lamont Heidler of the Metro Washington, DC, Auxiliary was named Lawrence B. Dore "Member of the Year."
Robert M. Cox "Image Award" entries were judged on criteria including community service projects, consumer safety programs, activities at conventions and/or trade shows and programs to increase PHCC image awareness. The Metro Washington, DC, Auxiliary received the $800 "Image" first place award, and the Delaware PHCC Auxiliary received $450 as first runner up.
The Delaware PHCC Auxiliary received an $800 first place check in the "Recruitment" competition, which was judged on the basis of activities including apprenticeship training, continuing education, scholarships, seminars and new member recruitment for state and local PHCC chapters. The Pinellas Park, FL, PHCC Auxiliary received $450 as "Recruitment" first runner up.
As the Lawrence B. Dore "Member of the Year," Lynn Lamont Heidler of the Metro Washington, DC, PHCC Auxiliary received a $1,000 award and a plaque in recognition of her tireless efforts and commitment to the goals and growth of the PHCC-NA. Louise Schumacher of the Illinois PHCC Auxiliary received $500 as "Member of the Year" first runner-up.
