PM Engineer is proud to announce that it has again garnered two Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX Awards) for the fourth consecutive year.

PME won an award for technical writing for the article, "Sizing Diaphragm-Type Expansion for Large Radiant Heating and Snowmelting Systems," from the October 2003 issue, written by John Siegenthaler, and a second award for overall presentation for the complete March 2003 issue.

APEX Awards are presented based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. PME was among those chosen out of close to 5,500 entries.

The awards are sponsored by Communication Concepts, Inc., a publishing, PR and marketing firm.

In other PME news, Kelly Johnson has been promoted from Managing Editor to Editor of PME. Johnson joined the staff of PME as managing editor in 2000 and has been in trade publishing for 13 years.

"I'm very excited about the new opportunities this position will hold for me," Johnson said. "I look forward to having more of an expanded role in making PME even better for our readers."
