The NFPA Research Foundation has scheduled its symposium on Fire Risk and Hazard Assessment for July 9-11, at the BWI Airport Marriott in Baltimore. Keynote speaker is Jack Snell, director of the Building and Fire Research Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards. In other NFPA news, Chester W. Schirmer, P.E., the former president and chair of the Schirmer Engineering Corp., Deerfield, IL, was presented with the Paul C.
