The Nucleus from Leonard Valve is a digitally controlled mixing valve providing faster and more accurate temperature controls for domestic hot water applications, the company notes. The Nucleus has the option for cloud-based monitoring and data logging, and also can be monitored remotely using one of the six standard protocol languages including BACNet, Modbus and Metasys (BMS Interface). Outlet temperatures are accurate to plus-or-minus 2° F from setpoint, especially during periods of low or no system demand, and flow automatically is shut down upon cold or hot water failure.
