The Commercial Green Construction Professional certification was created to assist in developing new standards for building construction in order to address the problem of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and to help reinforce societal health, life and safety benefits. 

This collaboration will continue to improve the use of SolarAPP+ with local governments that use the model codes developed by ICC.

The streamlined energy code is fully integrated – containing specific requirements designed to meet the needs of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Proposals accepted by the technical committee will appear in the 2024 NSPC.

ICC held its very first virtual code change hearings in April and May. Let us hope it is the last time they hold them virtually. While technology has advanced, I think everyone got tired of the statement, “Can you hear me now?”

These monographs will be used at the upcoming TC meetings in May.

While the hearings are virtual, the committees will actually be live at the ICC Central Regional Office in Country Club Hills, Illinois. The committee, ICC staff and moderators will all be operating from the office, while everyone else participates virtually.

The use of plastic venting systems on gas fired water heaters, furnaces and boilers has undergone a significant change.
