Starting in 2020, a team of experts from PPI member companies began a research project to investigate the potential effects of chlorine dioxide on pressure piping materials CPVC, PEX, PE-RT, PP-R, andPP-RCT.
The award was presented to PPI-member company Uponor. The Society Orlando is a two-tower, 1.5-million-square-foot, mixed-use, high-rise project in the downtown Orlando, Florida Central Business District.
PPI PresidentDavid M. Finkpresented the award to Palermo during the association’s annual meeting in May. PPI is the major North American trade association representing the plastic pipe industry.
Jones Stephens introduces PEX-A plumbing solutions, a comprehensive offering including PEX-A pipe, as well as F1960 cold expansion and F1807 and F2159 crimp-style fittings. Jones Stephens’ PEX-A pipe is available for potable water and oxygen barrier applications.
Over the past 60 years, plastic piping materials have evolved from a new alternative to the material of choice for building and construction applications such as hot- and cold-water plumbing distribution, fire protection and mechanical systems like hydronics and chilled water.
The facility currently operates as two separate plants – one specializing in automotive painted exterior components, the other in PEXa piping for plumbing and radiant heating systems and gaskets for household appliances.
