All signs are pointing to a positive 2023 on the nonresidential construction front. On one hand, the sector is likely to be bolstered by funds from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022. On the other hand, residential construction is anticipated to slow. Either way, it won’t be all smooth sailing ahead.

A 12-year DE&I and human resources (HR) industry veteran, Miller will lead education and training, talent acquisition and workforce planning along with other DE&I initiatives and events for Henderson’s 1,000 employees across the country.

The company is making an investment in its workforce with a 5% base salary increase for all employees as it celebrates its 75th anniversary.

The project is sponsored by the City of Columbus, which has successfully implemented acid phase digestion improvements at its Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant, saving the city upward of $1M annually.

Laura Breit, president and CEO of ColeBreit Engineering, is succeeding her father, Ray Cole, former president and CEO of Axiom Engineers for more than 40 years. 

The hire supports the firm’s strategy to expand its share of Los Angeles’s water and wastewater market.

The announcement comes as Henderson simultaneously celebrates 52 years in business and reaches 1,000 employees nationwide. The move to an employee-owned company was part of a long-term leadership transition and company restructure that Henderson announced earlier this year.

In a planned transition, Wendy Broley assumes the role of CTO in April.

Wang’s 25 employees will immediately become part of Terracon.

The awards will be presented during the annual gala in April 2022.
