Warm breezes with sunny skies make for the best days. May the summer weather bring you fewer hectic days with more outdoor time to enjoy friends and family. Here's to summer! Cheers!

This month of June, six months into 2023, is a great time to review the activities of Standards Development Organizations, or SDOS. These organizations develop standards through voluntary consensus processes for product performance and safety, services, processes, systems and personnel.

Energy, water systems, refrigerants and product standards are having a busy year, so I've curated lists for you that have piqued my interest in these areas: 1) new standards in the development process, 2) revised or reaffirmed standards, 3) standards actively under revision, and 4) withdrawn standards.

What can you do?

It's best to keep track of standards activities through standards action newsletters from ANSI or ASHRAE. Many SDOs publish monthly newsletters, such as IAPMO's Codes and Standards Newsletter, which report their activities and are excellent sources of information. While I recommend that you personally monitor standards activities, you may choose to request updates through your trade association.

Or, as always, you can simplify your life and call me at Regulosity!
