With industry leadership a longstanding cornerstone of Uponor North America, the company proudly welcomes the recent election of Bill Hooper, regional sales manager – Atlantic with Uponor Atlantic Ltd., as the 74th chair of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH). The announcement was made at the CIPH’s 89th Annual General Meeting, held virtually on June 15.

“I cannot think of anyone who is better suited to the CIPH leadership role as a representative and spokesperson for our industry,” says Bill Gray, president, Uponor North America. “Uponor fully supports and encourages professional development, as it fuels the positive evolution of our field.”

As leaders in the industry, Uponor notes that appointments like Hooper’s are reflective of the company’s progressive culture. Uponor actively fosters growth by engaging its employees to advance their knowledge and help to shape the future of the industry. Expanding this community of employees eager to invest in their careers outside of the office further broadens these individuals’ representation within the industry and strengthens the industry as a whole.

“I’m honoured to have been elected to a leadership role with the CIPH Board and look forward to the challenge,” says Hooper. “I’m very fortunate that Uponor has established and fostered a culture designed to move us all forward, and that has helped encourage me in my various roles with CIPH. It has allowed me to expand my reach and share relevant experience to help make a difference and inspire others to do the same.”

Hooper’s continued passion has always seen him deeply involved and committed to the hydronics industry for more than 30 years. He remains entrenched in the CIPH and the Canadian Hydronics Council. An esteemed professional, he has cultivated an extensive network of extremely close relationships that form a collaborative framework harnessed to drive innovation that, ultimately, will continue to move the companies and associations he works with forward.
