IAPMO R&T, a third-party certification provider for plumbing, mechanical and solar-energy products, announced it added Shannon Ethridge as its in-house toxicologist.

IAMPO R&T noted Ethridge is a senior-level toxicologist with a variety of experience in the laboratory and regulatory environments. She has expertise specific to public health, drinking water quality, surface water quality, groundwater contamination and many other elements.

As a regulatory toxicologist, Ethridge has provided support to many state agency program areas including water, air, waste, compliance and enforcement, field operations and agency communications.

“I’m excited to be joining the R&T staff,” she said. “Public health always has been important to me and I will work diligently to make scientifically-sound, risk assessment decisions to ensure the protection of public health.”
