Speakman Co. donated $10,000 to support a May 5th teen prom dance for dozens of current and former patients at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. This is the third year Speakman has supported the teen prom for patients who might not be able to attend dances or other events typically held at schools because of their health concerns.

The connection between Speakman and Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children goes back years when an employee’s granddaughter was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.

"We support this event annually because of the lifesaving work that happens at Nemours every day,” Speakman CEO Bob Knoll said. “The hospital provides essential care to children and young people in our community, including for family of our staff, so the connection is a natural for our company.”
